Efi Kapsimali
I studied Medicine and specialised in Child Psychiatry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I was the first child and adolescent psychiatrist in the public sector in the Peloponnese region, serving the National Health System for 14 years. During this time, I contributed to and guided the establishment of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at the General Hospital of Tripoli. In my current role with the Initiative for Mental Health, I am involved in the creation and implementation of a nationwide network for the support and protection of the mental health of children and adolescents, a project I believed in and continue to believe is absolutely essential for our country. However, my therapeutic vocation remains close to my heart and drives me deeply, and I strive to expand and enrich my skills in this area. I continue my individual psychodynamic psychotherapy, and among my long-standing personal interests are meditative techniques and the therapeutic dimensions of Nature and Art. Since March 2022, I have been living and working in Athens.
